The long-running musical biography of 1950s rock 'n' roll star, Buddy Holly, returns to London's West End. 'Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story', to give it its full title, tells the story of Buddy Holly who died tragically young in a plane crash in February 1959 when he was just 22. Over 20 of his greatest hits, including 'Peggy Sue', 'That'll Be The Day', 'Oh Boy', 'Rave On', 'Heartbeat' and 'Raining In My Heart' are belted out throughout the performance. During the show we follow Buddy from when he first signed a recording contract, moved to New York and toured with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper to his great live performance at the Winter Dance Party. It's a fitting tribute to a great talent that has already proved to be a big hit with audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. |
